UK Votes Out Of The EU

I'm really sorry and worried that the UK has voted to leave the EU. Most of voters in cities voted for the remain, but countryside voters were against. It shows a sense of bias that the EU has only benefited rich people in large cities.

Indeed, I can agree that farmers are usually left out of the Brussels quagmire debates. And so many others, like here in Japan, are old people living in the rural towns that do not feel much benefit from Trade Liberalization and large shopping centers that offer all kinds of imported goods at low prices, mostly from China. But why does this translate to the right-wing vote?

I'm from the southernmost province of Sweden. We voted for joining the EU some 20 years ago. Sweden did join, but later opted out of the Euro. Since then, the EU has grown to include 28 countries. It may have been more manageable and more democratic back then. But why did the UK right-wing Cameron government embark on this stupid vote in the first place? Incredibly foolish. Scotland votes for remain, all of London is for, Liverpool and Manchester, Hove & Brighton is for remain.

Ages ago, I remember there was a really silly movement to get Skåne to leave Sweden. Seriously, they had their main guy out on the main square, trying to whip out votes. That was in the 1970s, long before the rise of Neo-Nazism and anti-immigration politicians. We laughed at them. Now they are (almost) mainstream, and in the UK of all places. You want to get out of the major European peace-building initiative in the past 70 years?

60% of `London` voted to Remain, nationally the result was 52% > 48%. An inconvenient truth, especially OUTSIDE London, was immigration and also the undue influence on the UK by unelected bureaucrats in Brussels. Thus the joys of a democratic referendum...

I, not that I personally have to care, voted Remain. Be careful what you wish for and all that glitters I is not gold and all that. Oh, and also, I`m European.

NOT an area vast majority of Brits or anyone for that matter would want to live. Really.

Interesting thing I heard on the radio - it's just pure bombardment on all fronts, tv, radio et al here. Ok, there is talk that Scotland might like to go it alone and - somehow - be part of 'Europe'. The SNP up there are also anglish for another referendum re secded from the UK and become an independent country/state. Ok, here's the rub: If Scotland, as pert of the UK but..., apply to become a separate 'member' guess which other EU country might just step and veto it - as they can. Spain! Why? There is a growing (and 'urgent') movement in one part of Spain...

So, if Scotland were SUCCESSFUL in their twud no doubt open the door for Catalonia, ne. Madrid just is not going to let that happen.

If I was not where I am, I know I would get very busy, trying to make this not happen. Maybe too late, but that's not an issue. Came-run, what a tool. Came and run. He did quit too didn't he. I'm not surprised. Little England, way played. If I was living in Scotland, I'd go for it, and charm the Spanish. But I see your point there, Sir. Had not thought of it. Skåne a case in point, but it has no oil. Incidentally, when Sweden voted back in the early 1990s to join the EU, the south was much in favour.

Of course, now there have been racist attacks and 'domonstrations' in the north of London where, basicallly, the vote was decided. And - such is democracy and its consequences - people coming out who have regretted voting [out'. Whatever...

Typos aplenty, or really}? Demonstratsions and 'north of England' should have been. Gomen.
