But "Pain at the Pump" has yet to hit millions of consumers, who take their right to drive a car for granted. Instead, we should urge city planners are governments to invest in better busses and trains, as well as more bicycle roads.
The US didn't get into this position overnight and since they have built their infrastructure based upon the automobile, it will take a long time to change things and reach a sensible transportation mix. Unfortunately, time is not on their side.
