Soul food in Shibuya


This weekend, Japanese farmers gathered in Shibuya, Tokyo to promote local foods from every prefecture around this country. I had a great time, tasting ayu (charcoal grilled salty fish), baked sweet potates, and squid dumplings.

Okinawa had the cutest sales girls, and kids got a chance to milk a cow under strict hygiene supervision. Wow. Mentioning "cow" and "Shibuya" in the same blog... That doesn't happen very often!

Yes, it is Shibuya, near NHK and the Yoyogi National stadium.

I use Picasa for all my photos. They have a that service, we can make collages. I think they are great!

Salvador Dali, Hiroshima and Okinawa

Spanish artist Salvador Dali was deeply terrified by the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki , and his exact, detailed style was very much suited to show the horror of the A-bomb, which America tried to keep a secret by classifying photos and descriptions until the end of the occupation of Japan in 1952.
